Our goal was to build a platform that is user friendly, scalable and flexible enough for other groups to adopt and use for collecting health data across Canada. This included tools to build the survey as well as two separate platforms that ensure participant identity is kept confidential.

Bioinformatics.ca aims to train the next generation of researchers by offering workshops for advanced technologies and the latest approaches in dealing with new data.

We recently redesigned the workshop application process, making it very smooth and appealing for trainees to apply. During the design analysis process, we collaborated with CBW stakeholders to ensure that all user scenarios were met and all of the user problems were solved

The workshops are connected to the OICR Events website that we built to collect payment using the Moneris payment solution.

We designed and built the responsive website, cancercollaboratory.org, to help increase awareness of this important resource. By storing ICGC data in the Collaboratory, researchers will be able to bring their analysis tools to the Collaboratory and start computations without having to wait months to download the data to local storage systems.

The Collaboratory team is made up of an experienced and diverse group of leaders in cancer genomics and computational biology. The team wanted to present an impressive overview of their research components in cancer and big data as well as look for opportunities to collaborate.

FACIT’s mandate is to foster an effective and collaborative approach to the commercialization of cancer-related innovations arising from research in Ontario.

The website also hosts the Maelstrom Repository, a searchable catalogue that encompasses extensive information about epidemiological studies aiming to help researchers find potential collaborators.

The new website simplifies the content and catalogue in the hopes that researchers will be motivated to work with Maelstrom Research and understand the potential of harmonizing their data to be compatible with networks and studies around the world.

The Study collects data from consenting participants 18 years of age and over living in Ontario, through participation in an online questionnaire and also informs them of the privacy policies for the study.

The website demonstrates what OTB offers to researchers as well as highlights their promises of quality assurance and diversity of biospecimens.

The purpose of OICR-Forms is to compile important online sign-up forms in one place for OICR employees. An OICR employee can fill out a form to easily request things such as a CUD group, lab space, jira project or wiki project. This in turn saves time and ensures that the correct people are notified of requests.

The purpose of the Central User Directory is to help OICR employees and non-OICR collaborators to quickly manage their CUD Account and Group memberships. It enables users to log in with a single account and have access to a number of websites.
